To help Ilan Sor to take the control of Economy Bank, to help him in his duty-free stores business and to promote his interests in different spheres, the former prime minister, Vlad Filat was paid with over 300 million lei by the Orhei mayor.

Filat, his family and party colleagues benefited of free flights to Paris, Geneva, Manchester, Kiev or Bucharest, also, he received presents and a credit cart with 2,6 million lei in account.

Ilan Sor paid for the hotels Vlad Filat booked in the USA (New York), Sweden for his son and bought a Richard Mile car worth two million lei for him. Those two didn't do any direct transactions, but only through intermediate companies and persons.

Thus, Sor send the money thorough his companies from Moldova, Latvia, Seychelles or the UK.

 Filat made the former Finances Ministry, Victor Barbaneagra to accept 22% of the bank assets that came from Sor's companies.

As a result, in September 2013, the National Commission of the Financial Market registered the additional assets from the Economy Bank worth over 80 million lei, that damaged the country.

On Wednesday, the Penal College of the Justice Supreme Court published the last decision of the refusal the appeal of Filat's lawyers.

The decision can't be changed. The former prime minister was sentenced on summer 2016 to nine years in prison for traffic of influence and passive corruption.
