Iurie Leanca discussed about energetic security of Moldova within his visit to Brussels
Iurie Leanca, the deputy prime minister had a meeting with Maroš Šefčovič, the deputy President of the European Commission for the Energetic Union. The officials changed the opinions according to the recent evolution of the energy sphere.
Within the meeting, Pavel Filip requested the support of the European Union to realize the target of Republic of Moldova: to connect to the European Union's electricity and gas resources. In this context, the Prime Minister talked about the political responsibility of Chisinau authorities to respect the Association Agreement's obligations.
The deputy president, Šefčovič evaluated the regional situation of the interconnections and talked about the necessity to strengthen the efforts to provide the energetic security.
Also, there were analyzed the cooperation perspectives in the energy sphere, especially, the renewable energy. The European official said how important it is to transpose the IIIrd Energy Batch and to provide the Independence of the National Agency for Energy Control.
