Progresses in Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area implementation discussed by Iurie Leanca and European Trade Commissioner

The perspectives of intensification the commercial relationship between Republic of Moldova and European Union, based on the Free Trade Agreement was discussed in Brussels by Iurie Leanca, the deputy prime minister of Moldova and Cecilia Malmstrom, the European Trade Commissioner.
Both officials have agreed upon the benefits which maximizing the potential of DCFTA in the near future will bring. Among these there is the permission to export Moldovan beef on the European market.
Also, the parts talked how important it is to respect the intellectual propriety and the increase of the national companies with a potential export in the EU.
In this context, the European Commissioner, Malmstrom said that EU is available to fund the Republic of Moldova's targets within the Free Trade Agreement.
Iurie Leanca and Cecilia Malmstrom exchanged their opinions on the topic of Republic of Moldova's request to review the export duty aiming to increase it. The European Commissioner said the request will be analyzed and they will send a reply to Chisinau authorities soon.
