Chişinău stands-up against Russian propaganda
The Parliament is against Russian attacks on the informational security and the influence of the Kremlin in the Chisinau politics. A declaration that condemns Moscow's politics was included on the legislative agenda. The initiative belongs to PDM, PPEM and others. This happened after at the end of January, the Russian State Duma adopted a new project where they mention that the Anti-propaganda law is an attack to Russia.
"Republic of Moldova became a polygon within the Russian hybrid war. Thus, we should be more careful with the propaganda", said Eugen Carpov, the President of the European Parliamentary Group.
"We will vote for this law, because of reciprocity, because there were made declarations within the State Duma that require a reply", said Vadim Pistriniuc, PLDM deputy.
The liberals approved this law by voting for a project that provides the withdrawal of Moldova from CSI.
"We all know the decision of the State Duma and we support it. It would be right if they would support our project of Moldova's withdrawal from CSI", said Mihai Ghimpu, PL president.
"I am absolutely convinced that, when it comes to defending sovereignty, statehood, independence of RM, when it comes to national interest, these definite decisions must not be conditioned by some other actions", said Marian Lupu, the president of PDM.
"I don't understand why do you do these things. Especially, when the informational technologies are everywhere. Are you doing these only to be liked by the Romanians? It is not right to do this. This is some king of prostituting", said Vladimir Voronin, PCRM deputy.
In their declaration, the deputies talk about the thing that Moscow's reaction proves the main target of the Russian TV shows in our country. They don't target to inform the citizens, but to manipulate with their opinion. The legislators appeal the politicians of the Russian Federation to stop the propagandist TV shows and the manipulations. At the same time, the legislature wants to block foreign support for the Moldovan parties. The anti-pro-Russian law will come into force next week, when information, analytical and military programs from TV stations retransmitted by states that have not ratified the European Convention on Transfrontier Television will be banned.
