Moldovan Army will participate at Platinum Eagle 18.1 in Babadag military training facility
A contingent of the Moldovan Army will participate, during 11 - 17 February 2018, in military drills „Platinum Eagle 18.1”, at Babadag military training facility, Romania.
The contingent, made out of 60 officers, non-commissioned officers, sergeants, and soldiers from the Motorized Infantry Brigade “Dacia” from Cahul, and 22nd Peacekeeping Battalion from Chisinau, will train together with military from Bulgaria, Georgia, Romania, Ukraine and USA.
The training is meant to increase the cooperation among participating armies, maintain capability for joint training, as well as develop a favorable environment for multinational military cooperation.
There, soldiers from Moldova will be part of an international company, led by US colleagues, and will have to engage in combat with provided firearms and command and control a military subdivision.
At „Platinum Eagle 18.1”, Moldova's Army will participate with 12 technical divisions of HMMWV type and military gear.
The vehicles will be taken there on Saturday, 10 February, by Chişinău-Cahul-Giurgiuleşti highway.
