Japan Embassy in Republic of Moldova supports cooperation between these two countries
Vitalie Vrabie, the General Director of the Customs service had a meeting with Masanobu Yoshii, the Japan Ambassador to Moldova. Within the meeting they discussed the priorities of the customs cooperation and the opportunities of diversificating the interactivity forms on the customs service.
The discussions were based on the necessity to develop the cooperation between Moldova and Japan.
This cooperation provides mutual administrative assistance that targets to apply correctly the customs legislation, to prevent the crimes and to provide the international trade security.
Vitalie Vrabie mentioned the importance of this cooperation, especially on the segment of trade with Japan.
According to the information, in 2017, Republic of Moldova exported goods worth 1 billion 90 million USD and registered a 32% raise.
As a reply, Masanobu Yoshii mentioned that the Embassy expresses the whole support to strengthen the cooperation between the customs authorities of these two countries. On this subject, they decided that the Japan Customs chief will pay a visit to Moldova, soon.
