A 44 year old man sued in Cricova Prison committed a suicide.

The dead body of the man was found this morning by the guards. The man was imprisoned for already a year.

"It has been proven that the dead body didn't have any traumas, except the one around the neck. The man was consulted by the psychiatrist, but he was always refusing to be consulted", said Ana Botez, press officer of DIP.

The Department of Penitentiary Institutions didn't say for how many years was the man imprisoned.

The employees of the Cricova Penitentiary informed the police, Center of Legal Medicine, Community lawyer and the relatives of the man. According to DIP, in the first half of 2017, 19 people died in prisons.
