A new incident in the case of the little girl from Drochia placed in a family group home. Head of Social Assistance claims that the child was abused both physical and sexual by her biological brothers, which he will report to the prosecutors. In April 2017, specialist have performed a psychological analysis of the girl. According to the document, she was starved and mistreated. Moreover, she suffered from physical abuse.

"I was shocked after reading the report. Along with the fact that she was constantly physically abused by her father and brothers, she was also molested by her older siblings" Head of Social Assistance, Tudor Golban said.

Tudor Golban also claims that Alexandr Streliuc refused to name the child at birth and only recognized her as his own when tried. He was accused of involuntary manslaughter, after his wife froze to death, because he refused to let her into the house.

"He only declared the child his own in 2016 and not 2012 when she was born. It is clear that the punishment is lighter when a child is thrown into the mix" Tudor Golban said.

The father denied all accusation, but admits to having a drinking problem at the time.

"My wife gave birth and had to do the documents, but I could not do it. What could I do? I told her to write her name and after I will make my ID we will change it. Time passed, I admit that I begun drinking and so 4 years passed" father Alexandr Streliuc said.

"He knew that the child way sexually abused and they law states that he should have reported it in 24 hours, but it never happened" lawyer Violina Munteanu declared.

Psychologists claim that during the investigation it would have been best to place the child in a family-type housing.

"If they considered that the girl's family was in an environment that could traumatize her, it would be best to give her away for a period of time, to work with the father and brothers on their shortcomings" Psychologist Gholamali Mohammadifard said.

The 5-year-old girl was placed in a family-type housing from Drochia in autumn 2016. Social assistants motivated the decision by the fact that the minor lacked proper living environment.

The child's father is in trial with the local authorities and wishes to gain back custody of the girl.
