Iurile Leanca met Romanian Minister of External Affairs
During his working visit to Bucharest between February 19 and 21, Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration Iurie Leanca had a meeting with Teodor Melescanu, the Romanian Foreign Minister. The officials addressed priority issues regarding the bilateral cooperation between the Republic of Moldova and Romania.
They underlined the irreversible character of our country's European option, Iurie Leanca said that the European integration of the Republic of Moldova will be "with and through Romania".
In this context, the Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Romanian Government for its multilateral support to the Republic of Moldova, which has a direct positive impact on citizens' lives. The officials have reviewed the main ongoing projects and pronounced their continued implementation in the assumed terms. Special attention has been paid to energy projects whose achievement will ensure greater independence of the Republic of Moldova in this field.
Within the discussions he next visit of Viorica Dancila to Chisinau, the Romanian prime minister will develop relationship between these two countries through a concrete approach of the subject. The officials refereed to the necessity of applying the cooperation mechanisms between Republic of Moldova in the economic, commercial and cultural spheres. An important role on this subject has the Chisinau and Bucharest Governments. Teodor Melescanu informed his colleague about the Romanian support to Moldova.
The interlocutors also exchanged views on the use of the non-reimbursable part of the € 100 million non-reimbursable credit offered by Romania.
Iurie Leanca, the deputy prime minister has also met Victor Negrescu, the Romanian minister of European Affairs and discussed the prior subjects of the European agenda. The parts discussed about the possibilities to discuss the development of communication between Chisinau and Bucharest.
