Tudor Ulianovschi met Corina Creţu, European Commissioner for regional politics
During his visit to Bruxelles, Tudor Ulianovschi, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration met Corina Cretu, the European commissioner for regional politics.
Referring to the results of the discussion on the Republic of Moldova at the EU Foreign Affairs Council, Minister Ulianovschi said: "The conclusions of the Council of the European Union on Moldova are comprehensive, balanced and along with some findings, draws forward the priorities for future cooperation."
At her turn, Cretu said:" I appreciate the new conclusions of the Council of Foreign Affairs and European Union about Republic of Moldova and recognize certain progresses.
At the same time, I encourage Chisinau authorities to continue the European way and reminded about how important it is to implement the reforms in the central spheres, as the corruption reform and the judicial system reform."
Within the discussions, there were targeted subjects about the reforms implemented in Republic of Moldova on the regional cooperation, the reforms from the European Agenda and the Association agreement. Cretu said she hopes that Republic of Moldova will promote regional cooperation.
"It is important for the Republic of Moldova to get involved more active within the EU strategies, especially because they have a national coordinator for this program", said the European commissioner.
Also, the Moldovan official appreciated the financial support of the European Commission to evolve projects in infrastructure, environment and electric energy system.
At the end of the meeting, Tudor Ulianovschi invited Corina Cretu to an official visit to Chisinau and it was accepted by the European official.
