The delegation of the European Union in Moldova, the member states of EU and Switzerland presented the Common Strategy for Cooperation and Development to the Government. The document was transmitted by Pavel Filip, the prime minister of Moldova to Peter Michalko, the chief of the EU delegation to Republic of Moldova.

The Common Cooperation strategy for Development refers to the main reference of the European assistance offered to Republic of Moldova by the EU.

Pavel Filip showed his thanksgiving for the EU's support and mentioned that the strategy comes to confirm one more time that the Government's efforts and reforms are appreciated by the EU. The chief of the Government said that the Strategy's objectives coincide with the Government's priorities. Among there, there is the Justice reform, the consolidation of the state of law, valorifying the free trade potential, modernizing of the energetic sector and consolidation of the civil society.

"The common cooperation strategy represents a radiography of the opportunities and challenges that Republic of Moldova has to face with. We are aware that our responsibility and attitude is very important in fulfilling these conditions", declared Pavel Filip. The chief of the Government said that this documents confirms the EU's support in the key-challenges and the Government will work more and more to offer the citizens the possibility to benefit of the results.

At his turn, Peter Michalko, the chief of the European delegation to Republic of Moldova said that the document is a development strategy and will provide the transparency, visibility and predictability of the EU's aids for Republic of Moldova.

According to the EU Ambassador, this document will contribute to the strengthen of the efforts for an efficient coordination with the aids, it will be an useful tool to manage with the reforms' implementing. 

The Common strategy represents the result of Moldova and EU delegation common work and it is structured in four spheres: economic development, market opportunities, social and health protection, strengthening state institutions and the good governing, security, efficiency of the energy, environment and climate change, mobility and people-to-people contacts, including support for the benchmarks on visa liberalization and education, training and research.

In Republic of Moldova there are 18 European donors who manage with all the aids given to our country. Due to the EU's support in our country there were already implemented 76 programs on a budget of 378,6 million euros.
