Specialists from the Emergency hospital have managed to restore from the fragments the hand of a 42-year-old man. The resident of Mândâc village from Drochia district razed his arm as he worked at an electric mill. Physicians have decided not to hurry with amputation and have made it impossible.

Tudor Brinşteri says the hand was pulled while pushing some branches into a chopper. The patient claims that the accident could be avoided if he respected the security rules. The victim had two surgeries.

The success of physicians is due not only to professionalism, but also to the new microscope, which allowed the restoration of nerve tissue. The device was purchased in the Microsurgery Section at the end of last year. Until recently, surgeons used a 30-year-old microscope.

The new microscope cost five million lei.
