Republic of Moldova and Georgia unite forces! They will cooperate to fulfill the European Agenda

Moldova and Georgia will work harder on the European integration agenda and will work together on the defense and security dimension. Statements in this regard were made today at the meeting of Andrian Candu and Irakli Kobakhidze Parliaments Presidents.
Andrian Candu emphasizes the need for bilateral and trilateral cooperation on security and defense issues, as well as the promotion of reforms that will bring us closer to the status of a state eligible for membership of the European Union.
According to him, there are many rules and areas where Moldova, Ukraine or Georgia are more advanced. Andrian Candu opted for more intense exchange of experience, expertise and collaboration. He said that being pro-active in achieving our common and solidarity goals in counteracting the current security challenges, we will be able to achieve more than just one.
At his turn, Irakli Kobakhidze announced the interest in the measures taken by our country in relation to misinformation and propaganda, government reform, and for ensuring energy security by diversifying sources. He said that during the recent visits to the United States colleagues welcomed the collaboration initiated by the three Moldovan presidents, Georgia and Ukraine. According to him, the relationship of good friendship among our countries will be a successful one.
The President of the Georgian Parliament is one of the initiatives to organize a high-level inter-parliamentary conference called "Georgia, Republic of Moldova and Ukraine: the Eastern Partnership and the current security challenges". The event will take place tomorrow, being hosted by the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova.
The conference, in partnership with the Atlantic Council, will discuss issues related to information security, energy and defense, and will discuss ensuring stable economic growth and the rule of law in the region. The event will feature about 150 high-level officials and experts, including speakers from the Legislature, MEPs, US Congress representatives, international and regional experts.
