Quarantine in Ursoaia village: Swine fever outbreak revealed in the village

The threaten with swine fever determined Causeni authorities to announce quarantine for the following two months in Ursoaia village.
This happened after two days ago, the specialists found a swine fever case there. Eight pigs from a household were invested by this virus. The animals were murdered. According to the National Agency for Food Safety, the source is unknown. At the entrance in the village there was installed sanitary filters that work 24/24.
ANSA inspectors disinfect all transport units that enter or leave the village, and police check the cars to prevent transportation of pig meat to other localities.
Last year, Ștefan Vodă, Soroca, Edineţ, Donduşeni and Hîncești districts faced swine fever cases. This illness is viral, contagious and affects only pigs. The virus is not transmitted to the humans.
