Chiril Gaburici: We want to have a sincere and constructive dialogue with the affairs sphere
The latest reforms promoted by the Government to improve the business environment, legislative initiatives in the economic field, and the priorities of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure were discussed today by Minister Chiril Gaburici and representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova (AmCham Moldova).
Chiril Gaburici presented to the members of AmCham Moldova the priorities of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure for 2018 - road infrastructure, free trade agreements, energy security, investment attraction, regulatory reforms, state-owned enterprises and communications.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure appreciated the willingness of businessmen to get involved in the process of reviewing the legislative changes aimed to develope the most favorable business environment in Republic of Moldova.
"We intend to have a frank and constructive dialogue with the business environment about the initiatives of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure that will add value to the economy of the Republic of Moldova and will contribute to the improvement of the investment climate. Thank you for activating and helping us to identify the current challenges, come with analysis and expertise to improve the legal framework so that our country becomes an attractive destination for foreign investors, "said Chiril Gaburici.
In turn, AmCham Moldova President, Veronica Malcoci thanked the minister and his team for the opportunity to discuss about the challenges facing the business and identify solutions to overcome them.
"You have the image of a road opener and we think it will help us to solve the impediments of business. We support the priorities of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and we assure you of our full involvement in the implementation and promotion of economic reforms as a business and messenger of potential foreign investors, "said Veronica Malcoci.
During the meeting, the parties also addressed other topics, such as the draft law on internal trade, the Law on Promotion of the Use of Renewable Energy, to be in force on 25 March, the modernization of the regulatory framework for the development of public catering services petrol stations, the activity of free economic zones, etc.
The American Chamber of Commerce in Moldova was created in 2006 and includes 109 member companies, from large foreign investors to small companies producing goods and service providers. The goal of AmCham Moldova is to promote foreign trade and investment in our country, to work with the Government and business community leaders to create a favorable business environment in the Republic of Moldova.
