On the 8 March Eve, the affairs with tulips and daffodils brings profit. The entrepreneurs who raise these flowers say that during this period, the profit had risen. These days, the markets are very crowded. The owners already have orders and prepare to deliver flowers to their customers.
Luchita family is well-known in Bardar village, Ialoveni district for their affair with flowers. The affair is older than 20 years. They say the secret of their business resides in hard work, as the flowers require a special care.
"The work never stops. For March 8, we need to plant the flowers in January", said Gheorghe Luchita.
The farmer also produces bulbs. The man says that this year, customers prefer yellow tulips.
"We try to be based on our own bulbs, this reduces additional costs", said Gheorghe Luchita.
In the greenhouse of the man rise over than 10 thousand daffodils.
"We have 40 types of daffodils. It is a plant that doesn't require much care and it doesn't have pests, also, the rats don't eat it, because the bulb is poisoning", said the farmer.
After being cut, the flowers are transported in the fridge and wait for the costumers.
"We have over than three thousand flowers", said Gheorghe Luchita.
A tulip costs seven lei and the daffodils cost five lei for a flower. In the Capital markets, the prices are two times higher.
