Two children from Orhei found a few hundred lei on the street and took them to the precinct. Daniel Vascan and Cristian Garabagiu are 4th graders at Ion Luca Caragiale Lyceum. On the way home, the two found money scattered on a street.
"- We found a big amount of money and waited there a bit, maybe the owner will return, but nobody did" Daniel Vascan explained.
"- Nobody came to claim the money.
- How long did you wait?
- 30 minutes. Then we decided to go to the police and hand the money, because maybe that family needed them" Cristian Garabagiu said.
The news of this good act of the boys ended up both on social network, as well as in their school.
"They became a good model for their classmates, for them to understand how much can such a simple act matter" teacher Svetlana Albu said.
"We have not found the owner yet. Orhei Police Inspectorate is waiting for someone to claim the money. By the rule, if nobody will claim it in the next 6 months, then the money will be returned to the person who found it" press officer Diana Maxim declared.
