A 90-year-old man from Cubolta village, Sângerei district, was found dead in his own house. 

A neighbor called the police after noticing smoke coming out of the house. The woman attempted to enter, but the door was locked and decided, along with another neighbor, to break the window. Therefore, they managed to stumble upon the lifeless body of the elder lying on the floor, with his hands behind his head and feet tied.

Boxes of medicine were also scattered around him.

The police has three versions: suicide, accident or murder. The man lived alone and was not consuming alcohol. He was taken care of by his son, who lives in Bălți.

Firefighters claims that the fire might have broken out due to a faulty fireplace.
