Man, who rented a car for smuggling, led Customs officers on a chase after refusing to pull over
A citizen of Chisinau has rented a vehicle to go around customs, where he was arrested multiple times for smuggling, wishing to bring to Chisinau 280 pairs of shoes from Ukraine.
This time, the man received 3 fines - one for attempted smuggling, and another two for ignoring Customs officers when they requested him to pull over for searches.
Law enforcement attempted to stop the car on a road near Hagimus Customs, but the man ignored the indications and speeded toward Căușeni city. Trying to shake off the Customs officers, the man started driving again toward Hagimus Customs, which he also crossed without stopping for mandatory searches.
