Diaspora children have opportunity to come back home. DOR register period started
The children who love Moldovan customs and traditions can participate at the VI-th edition of DOR-Diaspora-Origins-Returns program, that will take place between August 20 and 28, under the Government's patronage. The program aims to strengthen the emotional, cultural and identity bonds of the young.
The young can apply at the program between March 15 and May 15 2018. Both children and young from the diaspora and Republic of Moldova can register on www.dor.md web page.
To participate at the program, the candidates should fulfill certain conditions: to be aged between 12 and 17, to speak Romanian on intermediate level. The places will be completed as recorded, based on the "first come, first served" principle. The interested ones can complete an on-line application. Also, like in the previous year, the persons who previously participated at the DOR program will have facilities.
This year, the Government has proposed DOR participants to have a diverse program with new activities and surprises as expected. For seven days, DOR children will be involved in multiple creative, sporting, artistic, linguistic, historical and cultural activities, official and cultural visits. All activities will be carried out in an interactive style.
Unlike the children of the Diaspora, those in the Republic of Moldova will be admitted to DOR 2018 on the basis of a contest, according to which they will creatively express the concept of DOR in relation to migration in a certain artistic form (essay, poetry, song, drawing, photography , video, etc.).
The files submitted will be evaluated by a joint commission consisting of representatives of BRD, the State Chancellery, the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, and the results will be announced on May 25th.
Participation in the DOR Program is free of charge, all expenses being secured from the state budget. Participants only cover travel expenses to / from the Republic of Moldova. Up to now, more than 500 children from 15 countries, including the Republic of Moldova, participated in the DOR Program.
