Defendant waits for verdict. Prosecutors requested six years behind bars
The prosecutors request the liberal democratic deputy, Chiril Lucinschi to spend six years and a half behind bars. The request was made within the session of Buiucani Court. Eugeniu Rurac, also asked the confiscation of two lands and half of a house that belong to Lucinshci.
The goods are worth over 400 thousand USD and 200 thousand euros. Also, the prosecutor asked to fine him with approximately 28 thousand lei.
"For money laundering he must be punished with six years and a half. For fake statements, he risks a fine of 550 conventional units", said Eugeniu Rurac, Anti-corruption prosecutor.
"Their counterproduction by the transfer of state-owned shares of Mr. Chiril Lucinschi from two plots and a dwelling house, including the confiscation of 23,100 euros in search of searches", said Eugeniu Rurac.
Former President's son will be acknowledged with the sentence at the next judge. The defendants doesn't recognize his guilt. Chiril Lucinschi was detained on May 25, within the case of the bank fraud from Banca de Economii, Banca Socială and Unibank. He is blamed of money laundering.
