Scandal in Fundurii Vechi village from Glodeni district. A mother complains that her child was vaccinated at the kindergarten without her permission.
The woman wrote on social network a message expressing her displeasures. According to her, all children were vaccinated, without being examined by a doctor or have their parents asked if the child was not already vaccinated. Her words were confirmed by other parents.
"I went to the kindergarten and was told that my child was vaccinated. Nobody announced us that it will happen. They should have warned us, why the child was vaccinated."
Some parents though, claim that they knew of it happening.
"We were announced by the nurse, the doctor and the teacher that the child has to be vaccinated against poliomyelitis. Everyone was announced not only me."
"On Tuesday I was announced that the next day all children will be vaccinated. Because few children attended it was postponed to Friday. We did not sign anything, just were warned."
The kindergarten's director admits that the teachers did no manage to announce all parents, but denies the mothers' accusations that sanitary norms were not respected.
"Before vaccination each child received a check up, allowing children to be vaccinated" director of the kindergarten, Lucia Talpă explained.
Doctors from the village confess that they accepted the vaccination at the kindergarten, to avoid the risk of children catching poliomyelitis.
"If we called the children in this weather, when the village is covered in mud. Parents would refuse to come. Acute viral infections are common in Moldova, the numbers reaching to 35-40 patients per doctor. If children were brought here to be vaccinated it would have been a disaster" Head of the Health Center, Victor Botnari declared.
A case was opened on this incident.
"Children should have been vaccinated in a hospital. We are now investigating the case. We will establish if the vaccination was truly necessary to be done within the kindergarten and not in a proper institution" expert from Glodeni Public Health Center, Tudor Lupașcu stated.
Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection are investigating the case.
