The amount of social aid and aid for the cold season of the year will increase starting April 1, 2018, following the indexation of 6.6% and the increase in the guaranteed minimum monthly income from 961 lei to 1025 lei.

Thus, 51.5 thousand families (over 118 thousand beneficiaries) will receive, on average, social aid of 869 lei per month, which is 42 lei more. Also, 169 thousand families (over 287 thousand people) will receive aid in the cold season of the year in the amount of 315 lei per month.

For this purpose, the state budget for this year allocated funds worth 820 million lei.
