Any violence against doctors will be harshly sanctioned. The law for protecting doctors, discussed in the second sitting at the Parliament foresees a fine to 7 500 lei for those who harass medical staff.

In grave cases, suspects will even find themselves arrested for 15 days. While a simple insult will be fined to 1 250 lei.

At the beginning of the week, PDM president, Vlad Plahotniuc, expressed his resent regarding the incident that took place in Hospital No. 1 from the Capital, where a doctor was beaten by the husband of a deceased patient.

The doctor received a concussion and a few broken ribs. PDM deputies were then requested to vote a law that foresees punishments for harassing medical staff.
