Close to 400 pupils from three districts have not attended school today, due to the heavy snowfall. Five school buses from Cantemir, one from Taraclia and one from Găgăuzia were suspended today. According to the data provided by Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, Gymnasium from Antoneşti village, Cantemir district, closed down, while schools from Goteşti and Enichioi villages, Cantemir district, reduced the number of classes. 

Firefighters and rescuers are on high alert and ready to interfere at any given moment due to the heavy snow falling in the South.

People are urged to dress warmly and have food with them at all times. Drivers are requested to carry in their trunks chains, shovel and sand. Firefighters and rescuers will go to roads from Cimișlia, Comrat, Taraclia, Hâncești, Leova, as well as Anenii Noi, Căușeni, Ștefan Vodă to assist all vehicles that require help.
