Illegalities on route going Sociteni - Chişinău. People complain that the timetable is never respected
People begun complaining that the minibus going Sociteni - Chişinău is never respecting the timetable and is overfilled during rush hours. Facts confirmed by National Transport Agency (ANTA).
After dozens of people have protested, the route was investigated.
Each day, three minibuses are running the route, 20 times per day. Despite many people complaining that the transport is always late, the drivers claim that they manage.
"Three minibuses have nothing to do here, few people use this route. Sometimes the vehicles break down and it requires money. When the minibus is running, it us used daily."
"The company's administrator can answer all questions. That is enough."
ANTA inspectors have a different opinion.
"We have seen that the minibuses can barely manage the workload. From those three vehicles, only one had the permit for this activity. Both the drivers and the company will be sanctioned for this" ANTA inspector, Ruslan Pleșca said.
Locals hope that the issue will be soon solved.
"They never respect the schedule. There are enough vehicle, but not all of them are used, the drivers always claim that the minibus broke down."
"They breach many laws and there are cases when very few minibuses are running this route."
"If one minibus breaks down, it should be replaced with another, but they idle and it is very annoying, because we are all late."
Authorities will following take a decision.
"They lack proper documents and necessary bills, while the number of vehicles are not enough. We will following take actions to punish the administrator" state secretary of Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, Sergiu Bucătaru said.
Drivers caught lacking authorizations can receive a fine to 3 000 lei, while the administrator to 5 400 lei.
