A man from Ungheni will spend the next 9 years in jail for domestic violence, which resulted in the death of his wife.

Supposedly, the man harassed his wife both physically and psychologically. During their last fight, which took place in September 2017, the suspect hit the woman until she lost her consciousness. The 36-year-old victim was taken to the hospital the next day, where she soon passed away from the injuries.

The 40-year-old man was sentenced to 9 years in a high security prison, for domestic violence that caused his wife to pass away. The sentence can be appealed.
