Parliament of Bucharest will hold a meeting today to commemorate 100 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania. At the event were invited representatives of all institutions from Romania.
President of Moldovan Parliament, Andrian Candu, will also attend, along with multiple deputies. Liberal Party refused to be part of the delegation. At the event will be debated and brought into force a declaration, highlighting the role previous politicians had and the wish to continue modernizing institutions and EU adherence.
On March 27 1918, National Council voted Union of Bessarabia with Romania. In Romania, this day is marked a national holiday, through a law voted last year.
