Liviu Dragnea: I want us to unite with Moldova
The Parliament meeting from Bucharest that took place to commemorate 100 years since the Union of Bessarabia with Romania, was attended by Romanian and Moldovan officials. Among them counted Prime Minister of Romania and Prime Minister of Moldova, Presidents of the Romanian and Moldovan Parliaments, as well as Hey Majesty Margareta, wrote digi24.ro.
"Democratic revolution made Romania whole, while totalitarian regime broke it into pieces again. When democracy is forsaken or abused, the nation becomes divided and fragile, this is a lesson we need to remember. Only lack of trust in our ability to build a free and distinguished society can stand in the way of the act of union being signed" President of the Senate, Călin Popescu Tăriceanu said.
"Today we host a bigger Romania in our Parliament, as today representatives of Romanians from over Prut stand here with us. Mister President Candu, Mister Deputy Prime Minister, Iurie Leancă, do we truly lack the courage to clearly state what we want? To eliminate all doubts I will start by declaring: I want us to unite with Moldova" President of the Chamber of Deputies, Liviu Dragnea declared.
