Franco Frattini: Transnistrean problem will be solved with the common effort of the both sides

The switch point of the OSCE representative for Transnistrian region, Franco Frattini. The official declared that there is no need of the Russian army presence in Transnistria. Even if previously he told the Moscow journalists that Chisinau requests the withdrawal of Russian army from the left side of Transnistria. The changes were presented at the meeting with Cristina Lesnic, the deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.
"The pacifiers' roles is to maintain the security. As I previously said, if we have good signs, mutual trust, hope, it won't be necessary to displace the ammunition. This is the spirit of the mutual trust", declared Franco Frattini, OSCE representative to Transnistria.
Frattini's sayings were classified as being rude, previously. Vlad Plahotniuc, the President of PDM said that the declarations are recklessly and subversive, those block the progress of the Transnistrian case.
At the meeting between the OSCE representative and the deputy prime minister for Reintegration there were established the OSCE priorities for this year.
"Chisinau forwarded two additional priorities for the Italian presidency. This is the situation in the Security Zone, including human rights, I promise that this year we will have another attitude, much more active on situations that are sensitive",said Cristina Lesnic, Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration.
For his part, Franco Frattini appreciated Chisinau's efforts to maintain constructive dialogue with Tiraspol. In his opinion, the Transnistrian problem can be solved by the joint effort of both banks, not by foreign partners.
"I believe that Moldova is among the few countries or even the only country that, under complicated conditions, remains a good example of maintaining compromise and mutual trust. Moldova deserves assistance," said the OSCE representative for the Transnistrian region.
The foreign official proposed that the next "5 + 2" round of negotiations be held in Rome, most likely in May.
Frattini will met some more Moldova officials. He will also pay a visit to Tiraspol.
