According to the Government's decision, the president of the Council will be Pavel Filip and the deputy president - Chiril Gaburici, the minister of Economy and Infrastructure. The secretary of the Road Fund will be Oxana Gluscenco, the chief of the Politics Coordination within the State Chancellery.

Among the members of the Council there are: Octavian Armasu, the Minister of the Finances, Irina Vlah, State Secretary within the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure, Anatol Usatii, the President of the Road Workers Union, Boris Rojenevschi, the deputy director of Road Workers Union, Eugen Datco and Stefan Caunov, the President of the Road Association from Moldova.

According to the minister of Economy and Infrastructure, the modification of the nominal competence of the Road Council will be made after the public administration reform.

Regarding the Road law, the Council is an advisory body and its decisions have recommendation character. It targets to strengthen the efforts of the  the bodies assigned to the road, as well as the establishment of coordinated objectives and measures for the planning of repair and maintenance of public roads and the efficient use of the means.
