Each Christian prepares a candle for the Easter. The employees of Condrita Monastery work for this every day. According to the workers, 600 kilos of candles are fabricated daily.
The candles are made with a special apparatus. Five persons work to make the candles and all of them have their own mission.
Two kilos of candles cost 70 lei and a medium candle costs 35 bani.
In the churches the candles are more expensive. All the churches have the right to name their own price. This is why, some of the Christians prefer to buy the candles at the Central Market.
The Veaceslav explain: the candles from the churches are more expensive because those quality is higher.
According to the tradition, the candle is the symbol of religion.
