Pavel Filip: Government of Moldova is constantly winning the trust of citizens
Government of Moldova is constantly winning the trust of citizens, because it is imputing colossal effort in implementing reforms. It was the declaration made by PM Pavel Filip to journalists from libertatea.ro. The official highlighted that important results were gained in combating corruption.
"Those who know this system well, because there are judges and prosecutors who worked in the old system. It is not only about bringing a law into force. Those laws must also be correctly implemented and having knowledge of how this field works" Pavel Filip explained.
Prime Minister added that Republic of Moldova is following Romania's example on fighting against corruption. Creating specialized Prosecutor's Offices and Courts was one of the reforms inspired from that country.
"I remember the beginning of my mandate, April 2016, there was a survey showing that the trust in justice was of only 7-8%. After a year, trust in justice was of 24%. It was very low, but grew by three times" Pavel Filip declared.
To this moment, five courts were sanctioned. Namely, the Court of Chișinău, Bălți, Strășeni, Orhei and Ungheni. The reform, announced at the beginning of this year, also aims to permanently evaluate judges. At the same time, the way National Judicial Institutions are managed will be revised.
