PDM regrets that Maia Sandu doesn't run for mayor
The Democratic party regrets that Maia Sandu and Andrei Nastase haven't call an unique candidate for the mayor elections from Chisinua. According to the party, Andrei Nastase, the PDA leader is not a single candidate. The declaration was made by Vitalie Gamurari, the PDM spokesman.
"Today, we discussed about PAS initiative to support the PDA candidate for the mayor elections. In this context, we can say that our regret is based on the thing that Maia Sandu has a higher chance to win. We expected that she will participate at the elections. The Democratic Party is the one that proposed a unique candidate of the right wing parties.
We regret about PAS and PDA decision. They repeated the same mistake they did at the Presidential elections, to cooperate with the right wing parties. We risk to leave the City Hall in the hands of the socialists.
The Democratic Party will keep an eye on the trends.
PDM said that they will support the right wing candidates if a unique candidate will be nominated.
At the same time, it is too early to talk about the interim of the Capital, because she didn't announce she will participate at the elections", said Vitalie Gamurari.
PUBLIKA.MD reminds that the democratic leader, Vlad Plahotniuc announced that the party will support the pro-European candidate for the mayor elections.
