Last week, on March 27, the minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration convoked the Ambassador of Russian Federation to Republic of Moldova, Farit Muhametshin and  informed him about the contents of the Verbal Note. Three diplomats of the Russian Embassy were declared persona non grata and invited at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They should leave Moldova in seven days

The poisoning of the agent was qualified as a threatening of the international security.

Thus, Renat Anderjanov, Evghenii Ignatenko and Vladimir Pahmutov left from Moldova.

As a reply, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs decided to expel three Moldovans: Petru Alexei şi Octavian Berzan and Tatiana Tanasoglo. They will arrive in Chisinau at the end of the week.
