Before Easter people rush to stock up on eggs, tsourekis, meat and cheese. The Central Market is packed with people who wish to fill their tables with dishes, causing the sellers to be merry. 

People claim that to prepare an Easter table, they are ready to spend on average 1 000 lei:

"We came to purchase paska, tsoureki, eggs, goat cheese and meat."

"We plan to prepare traditional dishes."

"paska, tsoureki and eggs. The eggs were supposed to be dyed yesterday."

During those days, people also seek living fish. A kg of carp can reach to 60 lei. Customers also have the possibility to chose the fish they desire from an aquarium.

Sellers declare that before Easter Holidays, certain products become more popular:

"I sold around 2 000 items. -In a single day? -Yes. -Is this more than usual? -Way more."

"We have decorations for pastry and dye for eggs. Five colors, for example, costs 10 lei."

The price of a tsoureki can very between 10 and 120 lei. For a kg of lamb, people can expect to pay to 75 lei, while chicken can be purchased to 60 lei. Ten eggs cost between 15 and 18 lei.
