Chisinau is ready for Easter. This morning in the Nativity Cathedral square were installed decoration, despite the fact that previously, interim Mayor Silvia Radu declared that the idea was given up, because it was too expensive.
For the eggs from the previous year, City Hall paid weekly tens of thousands lei, while this year, they were offered for free by another economic agent. The decorations are over 4 meters tall and light up during the night.
People walking through the Capital claim that they are delighted by the sight and take pictures, most enthusiastic being children.
Interim Mayor, Silvia Radu personally came to see the decorations and was pleased by how the Capital looks on Easter eve.
To ensure that the holiday atmosphere is felt, over a thousand flowers were planted yesterday and the city was cleaned up.
In each sector of the Capital, including the Nativity Cathedral square, are organized Easter fairs.
