Four drivers got stuck near Airport, after their cars stumbled upon potholes
Four drivers from the Capital have ended up without tires, after stumbling upon potholes from Muncești street. They claim that lack of light caused the potholes to become trapa. The men had to wait near the Airport for over an hour, until their friends did not come to the rescue.
"My tire got tire blowout, that man lost two tires, the man in the front also two tires. He already left, had to wait with children around 40 minutes before someone arrived to help them" a driver explained.
One of the drivers claims that he was on his way home when the tire got blowout.
"Was retuning home, to the city, and stumbled upon a pothole. Two men are already standing with their cars, we are the third, further down the road there is a fourth car" a driver said.
"-Have you seen the pothole? -No, by the time I noticed it, it was too late" another driver said.
Publika reminds that this week Chisinau begun works to repair the street. Interim Mayor of the Capital, Silvia Radu, announced that road repair works will last for two months. The official was displeased by how potholes were previously covered.
Silvia Radu declared that she will personally supervise the works, while those irresponsible will be sanctioned, or even fired. The works will take place on over 900 000 square meters. For the road and pavement repair are foreseen this year 125 million lei.
