The number of the cars that were brought from abroad is lower now. The cars import was reduced by 43 percent in the first two months comparing with the same period of 2017. According to the experts, this attempt can be explained by the thing that now, the matriculation price decreased by 70%. 

"The number decreased, because of the amnesty of excise duties, even if the cars are over than ten years old", mentioned Alexandru Barbov, the producer of Good Affair TV show.

On the other side, between January and February, in Moldova there were brought 30% more cars than in the same period of the last year.

"In case of the judicial persons, the growth is due to the decrease of the leasing interest rate and the thing that many companies appeal to such a service", said Alexandru Barbov.

The owners of the cars with foreign license place that were introduced in the country till November 2016 had the possibility to register those on a 30% discount. Totally, in a half of a year, over 18 thousand cars were matriculated and the budged indexed over 440 million lei.
