Norica Nicolai: If citizens will have faith in politicians, the country will succeed in its European integration
Romanian MEP Norica Nicolai is pleased by the reforms registered in Moldova and urged citizens to vote for pro-European parties. The declarations were made last week, when the official visited Chisinau to participate at the reunion of EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee.
"I am pleased by the economic growth. I believe it to be crucial for the country's European track, as people can see that the Government is able to offer better standard of living and all that is currently happening is a positive thing" Romanian MEP declared.
Norica Nicolai claims that the country will succeed if the citizens will be mobilized: "Our duty, as members of the EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee, is to love this country and to trust that pro-European parties will be able to ensure the European track. If all citizens will mobilize and have faith in politicians, Moldova will succeed."
According to the MEP, the country's European integration must continue, while citizens must support it by voting.
"I will repeat to citizens of Moldova what I say to citizens from Bucharest, you may not like European Union, you may not like politicians from Brussels, but surely you enjoy traveling to Europe, working in Europe. If those things are important to you, then give a chance to pro-European parties" Norica Nicolai declared.
At the MEP's initiative, in 2017 in the European Parliament was launched EU-Moldova Parliamentary Association Committee. During the visit to Republic of Moldova, Norica Nicolai has also met with leader of PDM Vlad Plahotniuc.
