Interim Mayor of the Capital, Silvia Radu, confirmed that she will run for Mayor of Chisinau. Still, according to her, the decision depends on a few factors that will soon be revealed.

"If I decide to run for Mayor, I will be an independent candidate, regardless the hardships. I believe the direct support of citizens gives you more strength to work for Chisinau. Political candidates don't need to collect signatures, unlike independent ones. Starting tomorrow, along with a few of my dear colleagues, who also supported me in the previous electoral campaign, I will begin gathering signatures. I wish to use this chance to meet and speak with citizens of Chisinau" Silvia Radu declared.

The official also mentioned that every day, between 18:00-20:00, she will be present at one of the tents collecting signatures, waiting to speak only about Chisinau and what can be done to make it more beautiful, all politics and geopolitics left aside.

"I will announce each day the tent I will visit. I wish to reach every sector, as many places as possible in this limited time. Still, my priority will be the work at the City Hall, where multiple urgent projects are unfolding, therefore, I will limit the time to only two hours to collect signature, the rest of the time it will be done by my friends, volunteers, people who wish to help me" interim Mayor of the Capital explained.
