Four villagers from Puhăceni will stand trial for killing a man, burning the corpse and then burying the remains
Four villagers from Puhăceni, Anenii Noi district will stand trial. One of them is accused of homicide, while the other three of being accomplices.
According to prosecutors, the murder took place on September 24 2017, in one of the suspects house. After drinking alcohol along with another villager, they begun fighting. One of the suspects went home and returned with a handmade knife, having stabbed the victim in the heart. To hide all evidence, the suspects burned the corpse in the garden, then buried the remains in multiple places.
The victim's remains were found three months later, after his mother announced that her son is missing.
Before being arrested, the person who stabbed the victim also committed another crime in Puhăceni, where after a fight, he cursed a lady and hit her in the head with a bottle.
According to prosecutors, he was previously sentenced to 6 years for stabbing a person, who luckily managed to survive.
All four suspects, aged between 25 and 44 years old, confessed.
If found guilty of homicide and hooliganism, one of them risks to 20 years behind bars, while the accomplices risk to 3 years in jail. They will also be obligated to pay court expenses of 8 538 lei.
