Good practices exchange between Moldova and Kârgâzstan
A delegation from the Republic of Moldova, composed by Șaildabecova Nurjana Carambecovna, the president of CEC from Kârgâzstan, Osmonaliev Kairat Mederbecovici, Konurbaev Mirlan Aliascarovici, Damir k. Aizada, Alibek Smagulov, Jarkîn Djaparova, Renata Levovschi, Orehov Alexandr paid a visit to the relationship bureau with the Diaspora at the State Chancellery, to receive information abut BRD.
During the meeting, Olga Coptu, the BRD chief said that 1/3 of the Moldova population migrated in Russia, Italy, the UK, Portugal, France, Spain and so on. In the last years, people also migrate in the USA and Canada.
At the same time, Olga Coptu talked about the voting system in the Dispapora and said that in the past election years there were opened 100 voting sections abroad. The voting sections were opened, as the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration insisted. "Weekly, BRD sends the information about the Diaspora to the RM Government. It is difficult that the Diaspora doesn't have a TV channel that would help them send the information", said Olga Coptu.
The discussion continued on informing Diaspora regarding the election process topic.
The Kârghâzstan delegation addressed many questing to the BRD representatives, as the negotiations about opening voting section in other countries, the transparency of the voting, the additional lists and so on. The Kârghâzstan guests were interested about the citizens from the Dispora. In this context, the BRD representatives said that if they register early, it will help to find out if the additional voting centers are required.
Last year, BRD in common with the International Republican Institute from the USA and CEC evolved an informing campaign in 11 cities from many countries, where the Moldovan citizens number is big. Thus, Olga Coptu took into consideration these remarks and this year, CEC launched an informing campaign regarding the election sphere, called "Democracy counts!". In this sense, BED in partnership with CEC will evolve a workshop about the voting system of the Diaspora on August 17, 2018.
The BRD representatives talked about BRD activity that is evolved in agreement with the Dispora 2025 strategy about the No. 725 decision of the Government.
Also there were discussed the Dispora Days, DOR program, Dispora Congress, Excellence Group of Diaspora Program.
Șaildabecova Nurjana Carambecovna, the CEC president from Kârgâzstan mentioned that Kârgâzstan Republic's Dispora has 1 million people. Kârgâzstan targets to open a program for the Diaspora children, as DOR .
