More and more citizens are keen on the initiative of Ministry of Education to introduce school uniforms.
"I know that the uniforms are expensive, but it is very beautiful. Everyone will look like pupils and girl will no longer look like they are heading to a party" a woman said.
An online survey was opened for people to express their opinions regarding the introduction of school uniforms.
"So far, 3 542 people have complete the online survey. Out of them, 77.8% believe it to be a good idea" main consultant General Education Directorate, Natalia Grâu mentioned.
The survey will be available to the end of May. Afterward, the ministry will collect the data and come forward with recommendations.
"The survey's results are very important to understand the impact this decision will make. The idea must first be consulted. Feedbacks are very important before making any decisions regarding the project" Natalia Grâu declared.
Both pupils and parents have greeted the initiative:
"I hope the school uniform will be introjected. It will create order and girls will no longer need to think much of what they will wear at school."
"There will no longer be any gap between certain families. There are some children who dress simple for school and others that like to make an impression."
At Ion Creangă lyceum, school uniforms were introduced two decades ago. The administration believe it creates discipline among pupils.
"1st to 9th grades must wear green jackets, boys shirts and girls blouse. Students that are attending 10-12th grade must be dressed more classic, black and white" director of Ion Creangă lyceum, Corneliu Solomon explained.
"I started loving this uniform and it became something I wear every day" a pupil said.
"I know the clothes that I must wear and do not need to think much of how I look" another pupil said.
