Friday's fire at the Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Science Academy of Moldova caused a nearly 5 million lei damage. According to the Institution's director, Ion Toderaș, that will be the price to repair the roof which was completely destroyed.

The administration claims that after the flames were extinguish the fourth floor of the building was flooded, affecting the ventilation system, windows and equipment.

Two fires burst in the Capital on Friday. To extinguish the flames from the Microbiology and Biotechnology of the Science Academy of Moldova required 14 fire engines and over 100 firefighters.

For the second fire, which took place in a shopping mall from the Capital, were required four fire engines.

Today, Prime Minister Pavel Filip has summoned a meeting with people responsible for fire safety.
