Minsk will offer Chisinau a free electric bus for testing
Minsk will offer Chisinau a free electric bus to be tested on the streets from Capital. The announcement was made by interim mayor Silvia Radu.
According to the official, if the testing will be successful, in the future, electric buses might be seen on the streets of Chisinau.
"Last week I was part of the official delegation and attended meetings with Mr. Lukashenko, President of Belarus. Within those meetings it was decided that Belarus will offer us for a month a free electric bus for testing. If this transport will be more convenient and will pass the testing, negotiations will begin" Silvia Radu declared.

At the beginning of April, Silvia Radu has met with Vladimir Koroli, director general of Belkommunmash. The two officials spoke of opening new enterprise in Chisinau, allowing the modernization of the Capital's bus garage and acquisition of modern and ecologic buses.
Moreover, this project will allow, Moldova to export electric buses to EU.
Silvia Radu and Vladimir Koroli have also spoke of modernizing Chisinau bus garage. This year, 20 new trolleybuses will be assembled. 5 of them will be equipped with AC and will not require to run on overhead wires.
In the near future, those five new vehicles will be seen in the Capital. The assembling will be finished by May 1. Supposedly, those new trolleybuses will also run on new routes to suburbs.
At the moment, over 300 trolleybuses are running on the streets of Chisinau, out of which 200 are new. In the near future, all the remaining old ones will be replaced.
