Secretary of State, Daniela Morari, attended annual Regional Cooperation Council meeting
Secretary of State, Daniela Morari, attended in Brdo pri Kranju the 10th edition of the annual Regional Cooperation Council meeting, followed by a reunion of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of South-East European Cooperation Process (SEECP) member states.
During the meeting, Daniela Morari expressed our country's support toward the region cooperation in South-East Europe, as well as cooperation with EU in implementing necessary reforms, contributing to regional stability and prosperity.
At the same time, within the reunion, were appreciated the efforts made by Regional Cooperation Council secretariat in carrying out the planned activities in order to strengthen the region's commitment to European integration. Daniela Morari reiterated the importance of fortifying the role of SEECP at the regional level, it being the best platform for multilateral dialogue, experience exchange and partnership development in the region, within the process of European integration.
Regional Cooperation Council was established on February 27, 2008, as a successor of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, resulting an ample process for reconstructing regional cooperation and changing them based on the region's current needs and threats. Regional Cooperation Council aims to support regional cooperation in the South-East Europe.
