The strawberries from the country are almost ripe to pick. The price of the fresh strawberries is really high. 

"In five or six days, the strawberries will be ready to be picked."

Viorel Gavriluta is a farmer from Copanca village, Causeni district. Soon, he will start to sell strawberries in the markets. He didn't decide yet the price of those. But, certainly, the price will reach 100 lei or even more.

"The price won't last a lot. Every day, it decreased by 5, 10, 15 lei", said Viorel Gavriluta, farmer.

The farmer opened his affair five years ago, due to the passion he received from his parents.

"Starting 2014, I started the affair more seriously.  Besides the ones I was raising near the house, I started to raise the strawberries in green houses and I transformed my passion in an affair", said Viorel Gavriluta, farmer.

Thus, from 30 ari he had in 2015, now, he has almost two ha of strawberries. In the five house holds he has, the farmer tried three methods to plant the strawberries and tested which one is better.

"It is a little bit expensive, but the result is very good. We take the harvest earlier than it is supposed to", said Viorel Gavriluta, farmer.

Viorel hopes that this year, he will start to export the strawberries firstly in the Russian Federation and then, on the European market.
