A citizen of Romania was arrested on suspicion of forcing multiple young women from Moldovan and Romania to offer sexual services in Italy. Among the victims also counted minors.

The 39-year-old man was arrested in Spain, two years after being declared wanted.

According to investigation, if the girl would not manage to earn enough money by working as escorts, they would be psychologically abused, threatened and isolated from family.

The suspect had networks in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Netherlands. The man is accused of exploitation, prostitution, rape and assault. If found guilty, he risks a 13-year sentence.
