New opportunities for UTM students. Laboratory with modern equipment was inaugurated

The students of the Technical University of Moldova made a modern laboratory within the Tekwill center. The FabLab platform is placed on a 700 square meters surface and is equipped with modern technique. It targets to develop the IT.
"It is a platform that will permit the students, engineers, architects, designers to realize the projects they are interested in", said Viorel Bostan the dean of UTM.
"Everybody understands that an engineer, architect and IT specialist can't learn only from books, he should practice", said Monica Babuc, the minister of Education, Culture and Search.
The students of the State University managed to test the new equipment.
"Previously, we were making everything by hand, while now we are doing it due to the laser and technique."
"There is a door that was opened for us and we entered in another man, a world of opportunities. It is hard to chose, because there are a lot of opportunities."
The FabLab platform was supported by USAID and teh Sweden Government. The cost of the building is 700 thousand lei. Totally, in the world there are 1 300 such laboratories.
